English teacher in an upper secondary school. I enjoy teaching, and I plan each lesson with care.
My aim is simple: I want my students to stay active and feel confident throughout every task.
In my weekly plan, I start with brainstorming. Students share ideas, and I write keywords on the board. This step helps me define the topic and guide the lesson. After that, we do note-taking and mind mapping. Students draw small boxes or circles and connect them with lines to smaller ideas to visualise the main ideas. I also ask them to do repetition exercises at home because saying the same words many times helps the students improve their memory. At the end of the week, they do self-assessment to check their progress.
I use many interactive activities so students work together and enjoy learning. I often choose a role-play. Students act, practise simple conversations, and explore new expressions. At the end of the lesson, we come together to conclude our work and finish with a final idea.
Technology supports my lessons every day. I switch on my computer, and I open the school homepage. Students log in, access their folders by pressing the buttons on the mouse, and when they click a file to open it, they also type on the keyboard and work with clear instructions. A good connection allows our computers to access the Internet. Students also use AI tools. They especially use these smart tools for pronunciation practice. They can put their homework file online. After uploading, they delete old work, log out, and switch off their devices. This routine keeps our lessons organised and helps students become more independent learners.
