MY ENVIRONMENT
Our town is older and more beautiful than the neighbouring towns. There is a square in the town centre. It’s called Market Square because there is a market there every morning. Once a year there is a folk festival in Market Square, too.
The statue is the symbol of the square. It stands in the middle of a pond and people throw coins in that pond. It is the statue of the last mayor of the town. Everyone liked him very much because he treated towns people fairly and equally. When you look at the apartment buildings in the square, you would like to live in one of them. They are famous for the best view in the town.
At the end of the square, there is a museum. There are old photographs of the town in it. All the shops and houses were smaller than they look now. There weren’t any restaurants in the square then, but now there are some great restaurants. Opposite the restaurants, there is a theatre, a bookshop and a hairdresser’s.
The Opera House is on the corner of the square. Next to the Opera House, there is a hotel and behind them, there is a car park in the Castle Street.

Kasabamız komşu kasabalardan daha eski ve daha güzel. Şehir merkezinde bir meydan var. Her sabah orada bir pazar olduğu için Pazar Meydanı denir. Yılda bir kez Pazar Meydanı’nda da bir halk festivali var.
Heykel meydanın simgesidir. Bir göletin ortasında duruyor ve insanlar o göle bozuk para atıyor. Kasabanın son belediye başkanının heykeli. Kasabalılara adil ve eşit davrandığı için herkes onu çok severdi. Meydandaki apartmanlara baktığınızda onlardan birinde yaşamak istersiniz. Kasabadaki en iyi manzarayla ünlüler.
Meydanın sonunda bir müze var. İçinde şehrin eski fotoğrafları var. Bütün dükkanlar ve evler şimdi göründüklerinden daha küçüktü. O zamanlar meydanda restoran yoktu ama şimdi harika restoranlar var. Restoranların karşısında tiyatro, kitapçı ve kuaför bulunmaktadır.
Opera Binası meydanın köşesinde. Opera Binası’nın yanında bir otel var ve arkalarında Kale Caddesi’nde bir otopark var.
Castle Street, çok sayıda mağazanın bulunduğu bir yaya caddesidir; müzik mağazaları, giyim mağazaları ve ayakkabı mağazaları. Castle Street’ten sağa döndüğünüzde, tren istasyonu ile otogar arasındaki parkı göreceksiniz.
